We prefer to spend the majority of our time as close to salt water as possible, but who can say no to an opportunity to take a gander at a small part of the interior of Northern Africa?
Upon arriving in Morocco we spent a few days in Casablanca before boarding a train to Marakech for the beginning of our trek with a pretty stellar guide. We had hundreds of miles to traverse whilst relaxing in the back of a van, thousands of questions to ask our new friend behind the wheel, and dozens of quick stops to make for photo opportunities, sustenance and sleep. At the end of a few days of motorized travel, we geared up with turbans and camels to brave the sands of the Sahara... and luxury camping.
