Hey there, Pablo

Updated: Oct 6, 2021

South America has always had an appeal, and since we can't get to Angel Falls at this moment in time we decided to give Columbia a visit. We flew into Cartagena after a multitude of covid clearances and customs lines to spend the first few days within the walls of Ciudad Amurallada, or

Old Town Cartagena.

The beautiful sight of Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas and the well kept grounds surrounding it... we did not go inside the fort itself, but we wandered around the fort and pier before heading further down the coast to Bocagrande and the high rises

... Spent some time wandering through Bocagrande, hopped on over to Isla Rosario to check out Pablo Escobar's digs, then onto Santa Marta and Toganga for some dirt bike and java action up in Minca. The tigres region was names for the jaguars that are still about (which we didn't come across), and the tucans made some lovely music over the hum of the bikes... Considering the ambiance and route we took, that was the best cup of coffee I have EVER had.
